Bow Dumpling Family STL Files

Your files are supplied in a ZIP folder. Download the ZIP folder first, then extract it before importing the STL files into your slicer.

Windows:

Find the ZIP folder in your Downloads folder. Right-click it, choose Extract All, then select a location and click Extract.

Mac:

Find the ZIP folder in your Downloads folder and double-click it. Your Mac will create a normal folder containing the STL files. Once extracted, open your slicer and import the STL file you want to print. Do not try to import the ZIP folder directly.

Place each prepared master into its matching housing. Apply a mould release compatible with your master and silicone, following the product instructions. Seal the housing’s side joins with hot glue to help prevent leaks, then use small bulldog clips around the outside to hold the sides securely together.

Soft silicone around Shore A 8–10 is recommended for easier release. Firmer silicone is more rigid and flexes less, which can make it harder to remove both the printed master and your finished cast. Follow your silicone manufacturer’s instructions for mixing, pouring, curing and safe handling.

Recommended starting settings are a 0.08 mm layer height and at least 3 walls/perimeters. Printer, slicer and filament settings vary, so adjust these recommendations for your own setup. Check that each master fits its housing before preparing it for silicone.

Sand the printed dumpling master to smooth the surface and reduce visible layer lines. Sanding alone is fine. For a smoother finish, you can use filler primer, but choose one compatible with your silicone that will not cause cure inhibition. Leave the primer to cure for at least 24 hours, or longer if its instructions require, before final sanding. Clean away sanding dust before use.

Licence: what you can and cannot do

When you buy this file, you are buying a licence to print and use the design. You are not buying the copyright or the right to share the digital file.

You can:

• Print the STL files for your own projects

• Use the printed masters to make silicone moulds

• Sell physical items cast from those moulds

• Use the design as part of your small business

• Paint, customise, decorate, combine or alter the physical casts however you like, go wild with the finished items.

You cannot:

• Share, email, gift, upload or resell the STL files

• Share or sell edited versions of the files, including resized, separated or altered versions

• Include the files in another digital product, bundle or membership

• Claim the Mouldhaus design as your own

• The restriction applies to the digital STL files, not to the physical items you make from them.

One purchase is for one person or business. If someone else would like the files, they will need to purchase their own copy.

Your files will be available to download after payment, and a download link will also be sent to the email address used at checkout. Files are supplied in a ZIP folder and will need to be extracted before use.
